My Sexy Saturday: Sexy Once Again

Have you ever created or read about a character who for some reason has lost that sexy feeling? Then suddenly, something happens and they are sexy once again? I’m sure many of you have heard about it. After all, there have been many popular movies about it.  Those stories are all about the characters. Something has happened in their lives that they don’t think they will ever come back from it.

Blurb: In a world where people known as Assets can be programmed with any set of skills or personality, Rose works in the high pressure job of programmer while dealing with the corporate hierarchy and trying to deny her desire for another woman. As the pressures and secrets pile up, Rose seeks relief in fantasies of being a helpless, memory-less Asset, but fears showing her desire to anyone else. A co-worker helps her overcome her fear and shame to take charge of both her work and her sexuality.

Your Seven Sexy Sentences:

Teo looked great in tight black jeans and a white tank top that showed off her muscular arms, her black hair gelled into a fifties greaser style that gave her a note of androgyny, though the hard nipples poking through the white cloth were distinctly female. A folded red handkerchief hung from her left rear jeans pocket. She danced close to another woman in a halter top and pants with cut-outs along her legs, her blonde dreads whipping like an octopus underwater.

Suddenly red-faced with embarrassment, Rose pretended her drink was intensely interesting. When she looked up again, Teo was looking right back at her. Damn it, she Heisenberged me.

Teo paused in nibbling the blonde woman’s ear and cocked her head at Rose, challenging her. Inviting her?

Daelyn took a breath. During the last two days, he’d chosen a plan. He was certain that the Djinn had a plethora of willing, submissive toys. He was also certain there had been plenty who had been unresponsive, broken by the isolation. No, he would try something else.

He smiled. “I don’t think she had to do much work for you. This must be a dream.” He took a few more steps inside, letting the sheer fall behind him. “A real Djinn, most say.”

Only on my mother’s side, and very far back.” He kept smiling as Daelyn came to the cushions. “I had word you were most spirited, in fact you had to be put in stasis. Intriguing.” When Daelyn was close enough, the Djinn caught his wrist and pulled him down to the cushions, to lie beside the large and beautiful body.

It actually elicited a giggle out of Daelyn. He settled down. “It was better than being kept alone for three or four months.” He laid his head on a pillow and closed his eyes. “I’ve been on the nets and around people for so long, it was sheer hell. And now I get rewarded with heaven.” He opened his eyes again and smiled again. “If I’d known you were...well, this, I’d have volunteered.”

It would have done you no good.” The Djinn ran a gentle hand along Daelyn’s face and side. “I was engaged elsewhere and not here at home. You are the first I’ve summoned since I acquired you.”

Daelyn, robbed of physical contact for so long, arched under the Djinn’s touch. He opened his eyes wide as the term slid into place. It was a strange one, and it felt a little like panic. He bit his lip. Nothing he had planned to say was coming out.

Such a sweet little mouth. I’m the only one who gets to bite it.” The brush of the Djinn’s lips over his own took him aback and then he settled into the kiss. As promised, the Djinn did nibble his lower lip. “And such hungry skin.” His hand moved over Daelyn’s belly and up to tease his nipple awake. “You are delicious and I plan to taste you as long as I like.”

Mischief Managed

It's being a busy day here, ducks.

We've sorted out all the orders, and the paperbacks have been ordered. They're due here at the Lab on the 3rd of June and thence will be winging their way to you after that.

Hungry Hearts is nearly through its first round of edits. Oh loves, this one is scary and creepy and sexy all at a go.

On a less perky note:
We're going to take a bit of a hiatus this summer and figure out a better marketing strategy as well as finish correcting the back list to current standards.. We want to do our authors justice, put out a uniform product and get the books into as many hands as possible. Our current strategy doesn't seem to be accomplishing that.

The anthology calls are still open, and don't forget your wing-sex stories due June 15!
But at this time we are not taking new stand-alone short stories or novels.

My Sexy Saturday: A Sexy Thing

"In every relationship there is a sexy thing. Sometimes, it is the heroine who doesn’t know she’s sexy. Sometimes, it’s the hero that’s just doing the right thing who comes out the winner.

Every character is different as the story they tell as are the writers who write them. We can’t expect any less from our readers. Every reader is different and that’s why we write in many different genres.

Please share those scenes with us this week. From the moment our couple meets, their first hot kiss, to the fulfillment of a dream, show us the wonders of finding, falling in love and loving your significant other."

---My Sexy Saturday: A Sexy Thing

Today's excerpt is from "What He Brought Home" by T.C. Mills in Dominant Tendencies.

Mirin began by letting the drops of wax fall across those calluses, delicate stings of heat. He held Kanovan’s hand, sensing his husband’s invisibly faint tremors as the wax cooled, and then he began to pick the hardened beads off. His nails were too short to do the job properly. So he turned to teeth instead, drawing them across the pads of Van’s fingertips, sucking and half-biting. The wax flaked away, at first tasteless, then sour with a hint of skin-saltiness. Kanovan sighed as he sucked harder.

He drew Van’s fingers from his mouth and pushed him down on the mattress. Kanovan’s shirt was already halfway open, baring his lean chest. Mirin undid the rest of the buttons and let wax drip along the lines of the scar he uncovered, the letter traced above Van’s heart. If only because of the contrast, the edges of the scar were especially sensitive. A shudder through Kanovan’s body made the next drop land on the
unmarked skin over his ribcage, and that drew a gasp from him.

“Did that hurt?” Mirin asked.

“Not badly. It’s just…hot.” Kanovan arched luxuriously, cracking the drying wax.

Mirin stared at the flex of muscle. “Right.”

He let more drops fall, tracing Van’s collarbone, coming  down across his pectorals. Carefully, he dripped a bead to land on one nipple.

“Mmm,” Kanovan said.

Check out the other lovely people on the blog hop...
